Franken’s Enablers Stumble Into the Truth
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RIZZizd96_c One of the lefty blogs that spends its time rationalizing Al Franken’s bizarre behavior and issue positions, has actually stumbled into the truth. In their effort to pick up on Franken and the Democratic Party claim that we and Senator Coleman are “lying” about EFCA, they capture Norm giving a spot-on, darn-near-perfect description of EFCA and the people behind [more...]

Al Franken and the Truth are Often Strangers
The late Daniel Patrick Moynihan, Democrat Senator from New York, had a terrific line that has been often repeated in policy debates: “Everyone is entitled to his own opinion, but not his own facts.” Such is the case with Al Franken and his characterization of EFCA.  In response to recent advertising by us and other groups [more...]

Learn more about the dangers of this union scheme in our new report, “When Voting Isn’t Private: The Union Campaign Against Secret Ballot Elections.” You’ll find out why:

  • Union bosses want to end elections, even though they win more than 50% of the time
  • Editorial pages from across America are denouncing card check and demanding secret ballot elections
  • 75 percent of Americans think secret ballots are the most democratic method of choosing a union

Union Math, Union Myths

Since its peak in the 1950s, union membership in the private sector has steadily dropped. To explain the decline, labor leaders have scapegoated businesses for intimidating employees during organizing campaigns. But data from the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) do not—in any way—substantiate the notion that tens of thousands of employees are wrongly fired each year.

By logically linking organizing campaigns with Unfair Labor Practices, we determined that only 2.7 percent of union organizing campaigns feature an employee illegally fired (and offered reinstatement, typically with back pay).
